Picnicking
at
Lake Lanier

Picnicking is a favorite activity for visitors to Lake Lanier's many day-use parks. The Corps maintains hundreds of picnic tables and grills, and these facilities are perfect for one-day outings with family and friends.

On almost any day of the year, mouth watering aromas from the many grills fill the air as folks enjoy cooking out. Hundreds of people gather daily beneath the shady trees to feast on such all-time favorites as hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, potato salad and watermelon.

The Corps requires that all fires be contained in grills and be properly extinguished. Do not destroy any vegetation, or litter the ground with fire ash. Please place all trash in designated containers.

 

DAY USE FEES are charged at some park areas which have boat ramps or beach areas (see facility chart on reverse for a listing).

With golden age/access passport, park use fees are half price.
