IMPORTANT SAFETY
TIPS:
I.
UNPLUG KETTLE from socket prior to cleaning or disassembly.
2. Use a GROUNDED 120-VOLT CIRCUIT WITH A 20 AMP BREAKER or FUSE.
3. Allow kettle to COOL COMPLETELY before removing and prior to
cleaning.
4. DO NOT IMMERSE KETTLE ASSEMBLY IN WATER TO CLEAN.
5.
Any
person (s) operating the equipment must be at least 18 years old.Note: It is normal for the
kettle to smoke a little during the initial warm-up cycle. If you have allowed
the kettle to heat too long it will burn the popcorn or start a kettle fire when
the oil is poured into a too hot kettle. In case of a fire, close down the
kettle doors and unplug the machine. Call us.
TO POP POPCORN:
1. Turn on the kettle agitator switch (if the machine has one).
2. Turn on the heat switch.
3. Pour the properly measured amount of popcorn, salt & oil into the kettle.
4.
Wait about 2½ minutes. When the
popping of the popping corn slows down, dump the kettle and empty it
completely.
5.
Repeat if needed for more popcorn.
6. On the last
batch, turn the KETTLE HEAT OFF when the corn is popping well to avoid
smoking. Leave the heat lamp ON. 7. Pop up to 5 batches (one at a time)
and gently toss and mix together to help the un-popped kernels fall
through the bottom tray holes.
8. After the machine has cooled enough so as not to be dangerously
hot, wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth. This
helps prevent a heavy build-up of the oil.
TO KEEP POPORN FRESH:
1. Do not leave popcorn out in the air, either leave it in
the popper or bag (if using pre-popped) as it will absorb humidity
and taste 'chewy' or 'stale'.
2. If transporting pre-popped popcorn, do not leave it in a basement
or garage. Try an keep it in as dry and cool a location as possible.
